Cheryl Belfay and Eric Schwab own ADtangibles, a promotional products agency, originally founded as AD SOURCE in 1989. Clients include a variety of fortune 500 businesses, private corporations and numerous not-for-profits serving a broad spectrum of needs in the Central Florida area.  

We believe it is important to give back to our Central Florida Community and support a wide variety of not-for-profits including Social Advocacy, Health and Human Services and Arts Organizations. We have personally hosted private events supporting OPERA ORLANDO, DOWNTOWN MASTERMINDS, the OVARIAN CANCER ALLIANCE, ORLANDO REP and FOR ART.

CHERYL BELFAY Biography

Originally from upstate New York, Cheryl has lived in Florida for more than 35 years, most of that time here in Orlando. Fresh out of college she moved overseas, living in Iran and Australia, before moving to San Francisco where she began her career in advertising.

Before opening her business, most of Cheryl's professional experience was in restaurant marketing.  Ad agency and corporate marketing positions included Ogilvy & Mather Advertising working on HARDEE'S; Benito Advertising working on McDONALD'S and PARAMOUNT PICTURES; Jericho/LONG JOHN SILVER'S; HMS/Hameroff Milenthal Spence Advertising working on RAX RESTAURANTS; GENERAL MILLS RESTAURANTS (now DARDEN) working on YORK'S STEAKHOUSE.

As an active community volunteer and leader, Cheryl has served on the boards of numerous non-profits including THE ORLANDO REPERTORY THEATRE (9 years), THE OVARIAN CANCER ALLIANCE OF FLORIDA (20+ years), GREATER ORLANDO CHAMBER OF COMMERCE (25+ years) including the Board of Governors, Chair of SMALL BUSINESS CHAMBER, Community Service Chair of LEADERSHIP ALUMNI, Chair of HOB NOB and Founder and Chair of DOWNTOWN MASTERMINDS. She is Community Advisor Emeritus to the JUNIOR LEAGUE OF GREATER ORLANDO and has served on committees and boards for many non-profits including GIRL SCOUTS OF CITRUS, SENIORS FIRST, CENTRAL FLORIDA COMMUNITY ARTS and THE GOLDEN RULE FOUNDATION.

Cheryl has taught marketing classes for the SMALL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CENTER, the UCF Advertising and PR department and the Philanthropy Center at ROLLINS COLLEGE. 

Cheryl holds the MAS Certification (Master of Advertising Specialties), having completed more than 180 hours of classroom instruction in specific areas of study, years of experience in the industry, and a national accreditation exam. Fewer than 900 industry professionals have achieved this certification.

 

ERIC SCHWAB Biography

Originally from Bucks County, Pennsylvania, Eric has lived in Central Florida for more than 40 years. After graduating from Juniata College with a degree in Business, Eric started his sales career selling shoes and leather goods before moving to Orlando. After completing his second degree at UCF in Communications, he moved into media sales with JOY-108 FM.

After five years with JOY-108 FM, Eric moved to Sarasota to manage an upscale retail store. He later joined Silver Star Promotions and began his career selling promotional products. Joining wife Cheryl Belfay, Eric added the Promotional Products division to their agency, where it eventually became their primary focus.

Eric was President of the Promotional Products Association of Florida in 2000, and served on their board for five years. He has also served on several regional and national committees for PPAI, and as an advisory panelist for the Advertising Specialty Institute. He has also written articles on promotional marketing for national publications.

Eric has judged senior level AD/PR Campaign Finals at UCF and taught classes on the use of promotional products in marketing and advertising campaigns.
